Has anyone ever contacted Dyson to find information about repairing their machine? I called the other day to find a service center in my area, after checking and found that their wasn't any in my area they offered me to send in my Dyson and for $125.00 they would fix it for me and mail it back to me repaired all for the $125.00 and would get the vacuum back in 2 weeks. Sounds to good to be true and wondered if anyone has every tried this?

Hi dforest. I can't comment on the US I'm afraid, but the UK call and service centre has an excellent reputation so I can believe it. If you go for it let us know how it goes.

Well I went for it!! It's true for $125.00 you can send in the vacuum and have it repaired. They said because it was no longer under warranty they have a flat rate repair option. You just have to be sure to tell them everything that is wrong when you talk to customer service otherwise the repair people won't look at it. I sent it in on the 15th of July to have them repair the motor because it was so loud. 7 days later I am very happy to report that I have my Dyson back and the motor is no longer loud, and to top it off they gave me a new filter and filter housing. I didn't even mention that to them. The customer service was great both times I called. I had read alot of bad reviews on Dyson but I must say I am very satisfied with their service and product.
